July 19 Night

Although during meditation, we were asked to cut off the bonds between enemies, and to get protection from psychic attacks, I still dreamt of psychic attacks. It was a kind of school and I was to teach people of my age, most of them were my classmates. Then there was this girl who challenged me to fight her. Of course, at first I ignored her but then she said she'd fight me just the same. Then a guy also walked beside her and said, he would be helping her friend. I just closed my eyes, covered myself with gold light and I could see, even if my eyes were closed that alot of people were watching. My head was in total pain but I had to continue using the light. I was also careful not to blow the head off of the two. Then I heard them shouted, as if admitting their defeat. Then I immediately left the place, looked for a Master and saw him. He was wearing nothing but he had no sex organs, then he dressed himself with rough skin and he had a very short white tail like that of a rabbit but his body was completely brown. He's an old guy though with a white mustache. His body is like of that of human except for the skin and the tail. He healed me and thought me something. I think he also said that I should be careful and I could just ask him to do things for me. I could feel his power. When I woke up, I had a terrible headache.

July 14, 2007 Night

Pia and her mom in an old ancestral house in a province. Pia is leaving for US or something. Anyway, there's this" manang" who looks like a black magician. she gives me this packet of dead insects, moths and butterfly with lots of herbs in it. She says that I should use it. But I'm really scared but she makes me hold the pack. Then a gentle voice calls me and says, "come" and then when I ask "where", I suddenly wake up.

Same voice from a luminous face of golden curly hair that's been calling me.

July 15, 2007 Night

It was dark. All I remember was luggages of Scarlet. He was shipping all his luggage through me because he was going back to manila. Then I received several text messages from his dad in their language saying that he was happy with me and that all the girls Scarlet had, I was their favorite and believed that I was the best.

July 15 Nap time
There's mantra in Tibetan or Indian or Thai. I would not know. I'm in the palace, the place where people perform. I can hear the drums beating slowly as if in trance. There were four young guys each of them has the elephant to dance with by the tune of the mantra. It's a special performance for me. The guys have white silky pants with white silky sash. Then the king is on my left side. He says something, and then a huge elephant kneels before me as if in honor of me.

10 Things I Hate About You

This is truly one of my favorite movies. Though it's a feel-good film, it makes me think of my position as a woman in the society/structure I belong to, like the school. It makes me realize the oppositions I have made to question the "norm" and the "accepted" culture. I was once termed, "kate the shrew" as well for not conforming to the dominant class.

Of course, I appreciate this film more because not only I can relate but also it is the modern version of Shakespeare's "Taming of the Shrew". How can not one love Shakespeare when he always speaks of the sharp truths in life?

Kat, the shrew in the film isn't a real shrew at all because she has reasons why she acts that way. It is the society that forces her to be deviant and hostile. I believe it's a feminist film without the male-bashing part (except for Joey the air-head) and how feminist can fall in love too with a guy which is to deconstruct the typical/conservative notions of the femist.

Patrick comes in late in class...

Patrick: What did I miss?
Kat: The oppressive patriarchal values that dictate our education.
